Bob Kane was mostly known for his work creating batman and batman related characters such as Robin, Catwoman, The Penguin, The Joker, The riddler, and Two-face. Kane also created many other characters while working for detective comics such as peter pup, Professor Doolittle, Ginger Snap, and Oscar the Gumshoe. He created these works for DC Comics and Detective Comics.Kane created Batman in the 1940s and contributes some of it success to the idea that he was a superhero without any superpowers. He found the inspiration for the character from Leonardo Da Vinci's diagram of the Ornihopter, the silent film The Bat Whispers, and Zorro. In his alter years Kane did some voice acting related to batman. Bob Kane was born Robert Kahn in 1915 and died in California in 1998.
